Anxious Wait For Schiaparelli Probe Signal After Landing On Mars

Scientists at the European Space Agency (ESA) are waiting to recieve confirmation from their Schiaparelli lander to confirm it is intact after its landing on the Martian surface earlier today.

Sky News reports…

A European space probe has descended to Mars on a mission to look for signs of life – but scientists are waiting for a signal to establish if it is operational.

Schiaparelli fell through the atmosphere on a six-minute descent using a heatshield, parachute and rocket boosters to slow it down from 13,000mph.

British-built Beagle 2 made it to the surface of the Red Planet in 2003 but failed to send a signal back to Earth.

On Twitter, the European Space Agency said: “Recording from #MarsExpress is inconclusive – not clear yet what the status of the lander is.

This is very reminiscent of the situation that unfolded after the ill fated Beagle 2 mission in which the equipment failed to function on arrival.

To follow the latest on the fate of the Schiaparelli lander you can watch the LIVE STREAM provided below!

With all the talk of Mars, i have to question what is actually going on up on the red planet. We are hearing about Obama’s determination to send a manned mission to Mars by the 2030’s, yet, we have had guests on The Kev Baker Show that shared their experiences of working on the surface of Mars as part of secret space projects.

Furthermore, one of the guests Andy D. Basiago shared details of his time as a child participant in a secret jump room program that took people to Mars. One of the other children used in the same program just happens to be Barry Seotoro, or you might know him better as Barack Obama!

It might well be technical difficulties that are preventing a signal being received from the schiaparelli, but consider this if you will….

If there are active bases as part of some secret space program, could it be that these landers that fail to call home are actually being targetted by the soldiers & other races already on the red planet?

Only time will tell!
