September 23rd 2017 is a date that has gained a frenzy of attention on the internet. Planetary positions in the sky on that date have led many to claim that we are seeing the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. With that said, here are my thoughts on the big day….
For months there has been growing speculation surrounding the date of September 23rd and the fulfillment of a biblical prophecy that reads like this…
And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman eclothed with fthe sun, with fthe moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.
The hype surrounding the date refers to planetary alignments & positions at that time. Virgo, the virgin, will have the sun in that constellation on that date. Add to that the moon at “feet” of Virgo, Jupiter making a pass through at the time & and stars above above the head of Virgo in the constellation of Leo. All of this has people claiming we are literally seeing a fulfillment of the prophecy.
The above image shows the “heavens” on September 23rd 2017 & I appreciate why so many are claiming this to be the sign of the Second Coming Of The Son Of Man, but can anyone truly know the date?
If we are to take the bible literally as we are seeing with the Revelations prophecy, then perhaps its wise to point out another passage that is highly relevant to the setting of dates etc…
“But concerning that day and hour gno one knows, not even the angels of heaven, hnor the Son,2 ibut the Father only. 37 jFor as were the days of Noah, kso will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 jFor as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, lmarrying and giving in marriage, until mthe day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, kso will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 nTwo women will be grinding oat the mill; one will be taken and one left.”
Making bold predictions for any date is an unwise move, and as shown in the passage above, even the Bible claims that no one will know the time of the events predicted.
So just what is set to take place of the 23rd September?
Well, I just dont know & no one esle does either. I cannot say definitively that nothing will occur on these dates, for i am not a prophet & would never claim to know the date or the time of biblical events to play out, but i do have my doubts as to all the highly speculative claims that are being made by others at this time.
We have seen claims that this will be the start of the rapture, some say its the start of the seven years of tribulation & others claiming that this will herald in the arrival of Niburu/Planet X.
Im not saying that the times we find ourselves living through aren’t unique because one needs only to take a look at the world to see we are either in or approaching the “end times”. Everything in the universe is cyclical & the end of one time is the start of another, so the whole “end of the world” predictions are off the mark, in my opinion.
Spekaing from from experience, having endured many of these prophetic events & dates in the past, including the Mayan 2012 prophecy, comet Elenin on a collision course with earth & so many more that i dont have time to mention, the one thing that happens with these dates, so far, is that they come to pass without much fanfare at all.
Some are claiming that this alignment/arrangement of star & planets in the relevant constellations has never occurred before. However, this may not be the case as is shown on the website answeringgenesis.com….
Besides those who have contacted me to dispute how many stars are in Leo, others have asked me how often this allegedly rare series of astronomical events has happened in the past. The claim is that this conjunction of three naked-eye planets in Leo while the sun, moon, and Jupiter are so placed in Virgo has never happened in human history. In my previous article, I stated that this claim is false, though I offered no details. To check this claim would require much time to sift through the possibilities. I am glad that at least one person has attempted to do this. Christopher M. Graney found four instances where similar conjunctions happened in the past thousand years, on September 14, 1056; September 5, 1293; September 6, 1483; and September 24, 1827.2 Graney admitted that he may have missed a few other instances during the past millennium, so this might have happened even more than these four times in the past 1,000 years. He didn’t check for earlier dates, but certainly there were other examples in the previous 5,000 years. Therefore, the events of September 23, 2017, are not unique in history.
These “end of the world” dates & prophecies will continue to come our way, that much i predict confidently. I urge we use our discernment & listen to our guts before taking any knee-jerk reactions to future “end of the world” dates.
For even as The Bible said… no man shall knoweth the hour!
