OK, I went there… and for the record… NO! I don’t believe that the end of the world is nigh just because of the “Great American Eclipse”. I do believe that it has significance as far as a marker in time… a “line in the sand”, so to speak. I believe that the moon, the stars, the sun…. all affect us on a physical and spiritual level. As a result, I think this will be a significant event, but I don’t think the world will end…. We humans don’t really need much help with that…. (Face-palm!)
A quick note on why I think Christians often take the ‘end of the world’ stance on Biblical prophecy as it pertains to these events…. It speaks volumes as to what people are yearning for…. that people are so miserable that they want the world to end. If you read the Bible, you would know that it says… “Don’t hasten the day.”
That basically means the end is gonna suck. I don’t like what’s going on in the world, but I sure as hell don’t want to go through a time like there’s never been on Earth. Call me crazy….
